Kate McQueeney is an Associate in our estate planning team and brings with her thirteen years experience in estate planning as well as experience in estate litigation.  She was a member of the Tasmanian Law Reform Institute Board and represented the Board on the National Succession Law Committee.

Appointed as the first female Notary Public in Tasmania under the Notaries Public Act 1990, she holds a Graduate Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).

Kate is the author of several published articles and has presented seminars on complex issues involved in the estate planning process.

Prior to moving to Queensland in early 2007 Kate was the President of Women Lawyers Association of Tasmania, the President and Public Officer of Alzheimer's Australia (Tasmania) and the secretary of the National Board of Alzheimer's Australia and a member of the Law Foundation Board - resigning due to her move north.

Kate is married with two adult children and to the surprise of many rides a motorbike in her spare time.
